Default Having a Problem?

I have a Venom 7-cell 3000mah battery, after I run it sometimes the shrink wrap has melted and the battery is so hot that I can't even hold it. It is not getting over charged and I always let it cool down before I charge it or run it so I don't know the problem......help

Thanks

What kind of charger do you have? You could try lowering the charging amps on the charger (if you can) or try "trickle charging' your battery Try these but if nothing works just buy a new battery

Mine does the same thing. I have a 6 cell 3600 Venom pack. I heard that Venom uses really crappy cells, so I chalked it up to that. I'll be trying another brand as soon as I get off the NITRO. LOL Makes a great bump box battery though, lasts all day!

What are you running it in? What type of vehicle....You may have your vehicle over-geared.

I have the same problem with my Trinity packs. It's probably because they are cheap batteries. None of my other packs get that hot.
