I got ahold of an old computer today and i got the power supply out of it so i could power my hyperion 0403i. When i brought it home to test, my multimeter it says it only put out 11.44 volt and 15.66volts. Are eaither of these capable of powering my charger without damage? I don't plan on charging anything over 3s lipo so will the 11.44v cut it and if it isn't is the 15.66 to high?

Put some sort of load on the 5V rail, that'll help ballast the 12V rail and will give you a better idea of what it will be able put out and regulate.

most peole run a 50 Ohm, 10 Watt, wirewound resistor (zip tied to the case of the power supply to keep things cool), that should give you the "load' on the 5V line that it wants to see

go to radio shack
buy 10 ohm, 10 watt resistor
solder said resistor to black and red wire
heatshrink connections
ziptie resistor inside case near fan
eat cookie to celebrate
