Default do i need this??

hello i have a smartech 1:10 4wd racing car and on mine when i started it one day the idling screw was wobbling around so i touched it and it fell out and now it wont go back in so is there a way to fix this and is it important and yeah the car does go along by it self it has been since i got it. thanks

You probably have to replace the carb, and yeah even if its tuned right at the moment it's good to have your idle adjustment working.

The barrel may have to be in a particular position to allow the screw to thread in properly.

+1 and in most RC carbs is what keeps the slide or the rotary valve from falling out.

ok thanks so is there away to stop it going off by its self because i have to jog beside it when it is running.

Back out the idle adjustment screw to lower the idle speed.

when the screw was in and properly i turned the idle screw so it was down and it was still in it was going the same speed so why is it doing it?
