It will make it faster on top end and take some of the low end power away, i liked it, its a little too low geared, good for a short track but not for overall bashing.

I've done some changes on my rxt1 truggy and they seemed so great...

I've added the following:

-13 tooth clutch bell

-A titanium clutch

-12 kg savox servo for steering

-9 kg himoto servo on the brakes

i tuned it on 20% tornado fuel and the truggy now is awsome...

I will try to post a new video soon

Cheers

The billet aluminum and carbon fiber will make it lighter so it will be faster and at the same time, stronger!!!! Here are the part numbers for the upgrades, if you put them in the search you will see them.  They will work on the rxb and the rxt, i just need you to send me or post a picture here of your truggy so i can see if its an older or newer version.  We just got dont doing up an rxb that we have and will post pictures of it later.

13-14, with that big spur gear, 13 is better i think, with 16 it must be a bad off the line

the less teeth on the clutch bell (pinion) the better off the line power meaning you will have better acceleration but less top end speed.

The more teeth on the clutch bell (pinion) the better top end speed but less low end power.

ok man thx for the info...
i will believe that a 14 will be in between a good top end and a good acceleration because this engine is crazy and very powerful mate

16 tooth is too much on the rxt, you need a smaller tooth bell, 13 or 14 tooth.

I just noticed that this thread got this long. So s-rxt1 how are you liking the rxt now? Glad you didnt give up on it? LOL. Properly put together these truggys are amazing. After reading how bad your start was with it, it just brought back so many good memories i had with mine (ALOT of cussing was also involved). SO you made up my mind and im am getting another one.

Hey Bro....
Your Friends Savage is Totally Different from your RXT-1...
Differnt Tire diameter, diferent gear Ratio in the Diffs. different Transmision. Everything is Different......
That is why you cannot use the same size pinion as your friend, even if you DO have the Same Engine.
You will have to find out (trial and error) what works Best for YOUR RC.....

Also.....His 2 speed transmission shoud give him an advantage for Top Speed if he sets it up correctly.
But your 1 speed will ALWAYS work better on the race Track......

+1

And remember his is a monster truck and yours is a truggy. The chassis alone will change how its drives.
