take the lid off both trucks and look....unless thats a newer model the trucks are the same...may have subtle differences here and there...but most parts will interchange....and if one is faster then the other it woul be by the clutchbell, engine or spur...all the other gears will be the same... parts might just be made out of different quality of materials

the sh .28 is a pretty good engine...I dont know what vtx sticks on their truggies....your friends may have a different engine then what it came with also....I dont know what kinda racing yall wanna do...but I'm here to tell ya...the fastest buggy doesnt always win...you can sock endless amounts of cash into an rc and still get your butt handed to you in a race against a cheap stock truck...alot of it depends on the driver

smaller clutch bell gives you more acceleration, larger bell gives you more top end but less take off.

I would mess with the clutchbell first....but I can almost bet ya....if your friends trucks are stock they arent gonna run away from ya...unless you cant drive or tune yours....cause if they are stock I bet their gears are same as urs

yes....I believe the rxt comes with a 15 tooth....you can get a 14 or 13 tooth from Eddie....now changing the clutcbell or spur gear for more acceleration will lower your top end speed....I honestly dont believe you will need to do either....but if your wanting more punch off the line, get some aluim clutch shoes....the ones Eddie has bite real good....and wont affect your top end....if that doesnt get what your looking for, only then would I drop a tooth or 2.....

and if you or anyone for that matter are looking for a way to hop up a sh.28 p3....here is a place to get the xtm sleeve http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/148435.asp ... and I VERY STRONGLY suggest that anyone that is wanting to do this mod should also purchase a wrist pin clip...if that lil sucker gets away from ya ur done...always good to have a spare if your taking the piston off the rod

The VTX (ST1) and the RXT-1 are nearly Identical.
Your friends truggy (if its stock) wont be any faster than Yours......
I would suggest you RACE against him on the TRACK and let him PROVE his truggy is faster,,,,,BEFORE you do anything to YOUR truggy.

LOL......EVERYBODY likes to Pretend that THEIR RC is the Fastest and the Best. I wouldnt pay any attention to those people if I were you.
They are just Angry that they spent More $$$ than you and didnt get anything Better!

yeah thats the funny thing...alotta the times I see a 1/8th vtx buggy or truggy they are more $$$ then himoto...and its basically the same rc....but vtx doesnt have what himoto has....they dont have the top notch support we himoto guys enjoy....atleast I never seen their support forum...we are here,...and willing to help...be it himoto, redcat, exceed, vtx or any other rc for that matter...we may give people a lil static when they ask for advise on a different brand...but its all in fun..lol

and I'm with Rich and Rod....I'd tell em to throw down and prove it....cause like I said...unless they are a better driver and tuner, they will not walk away from your truggy

i have a problem
i was playing in my car and suddenly it stops and turn off, then i put the glow plug igniter to start it again, and when i was pulling the recoil starter, the 4 wheels of the car where turning also with every pull i make and it wasnt turning on
the wheels are blocked,i was trying to move the car by my hand on the ground, but it was like i am hitting the brakes, the wheels are blocked...
is it a serious problem bcz the car was working well b4 that happens and it stopped?

no, it wont harm the engine but make it hard to start and will most likely stall when you hit the brakes, you have to remove the engine and take off the clutch bell to see if its one of the spring.

Your going to have to take off the clutch bell like Eddie said and check your springs one might have broke locking your clutchbell
