15mm hex is an odd size, you'll run into a lot of compatibility issues. It normally goes 12mm, 14mm, 23mm, etc.

hex size is just that, how the wheels connect to the chassis. typically, the larger you go in hex size the larger the vehicle is (just as everything else is larger). My 1/10 trucks use 14mm, never actually heard of 15mm.
