I thought collections would be very interesting, when you get older, you'II have a huge RC collections and it's very interesting then to look at it.

Yeah, I started to do that. Now I just keep them. I'll sell some of the 1/5s off when space becomes an issue.

I only sell when I have multiples of something, like a back up car or if two vehicles are very similar. Not sure what I'm going to do with them all since if I keep going at the rate I have been I'm going to have 100 rc vehicles in 10 years.

I only sell when I want something else or just get tired of something. I just sold my Ofna Titan because I wanted to spend more time with my other vehicles.

i dont like selling old ones and my loft is getting quite full, so ive been ordered to stop buying!

i am getting rid of some watches though, so that will help fund RC purchases..

I don't sell anything even when I should... I might try and get my collection back down, it has soared up to over 25. There is some reason to this though... I do everything in 2's or 3's for me and my boys... I have 3 x Vendettas for carpet racing, 3 x 1/18 MTs for light bashing, 3 x micros for running around the house, 2 x 1/8 buggys, 2 x 1/8 truggies, 2 1/10 Electric MTs. I am top heavy in nitro MTs. I think I have 8 right now which is ridiculous.

I am the same as Dale. I keep them around in case anyone else want's to drive with me. So I have about 3 of everything and more keep coming in, and I just keep storing them.

I have started collecting the older Tamiyas (Falcon, Thundershot, Clodbuster, etc) most of these are as old as I am but I have always been into the vintage stuff. I generally will keep something until I find something that I really want, then I will sell it. But I will agree that it is nice to have extras for others to drive.

I usually clean house when I accumulate too many runners. I only have so much time for it. Most of my vintage stuff stays put though, unless I can put something half-decent together from excess parts.

I don't bother selling my old ones, they sell for so little it's better just to keep them around or give them away.

A couple of years ago I sold 2 original Bolink Legends, an AE RC12LW, a Kyosho Optima Mid and various gold tub RC10 parts and parts to a Mugen Bulldog. I actually earned enough to buy my LST2. I still have the gold tub RC10, a electric Stampede, 3 RC18T's, Jato 2.5, Revo 2.5, Classic T-Maxx and the LST2.

I have to agree on the "keep extras for friends" issue. I only have 1 friend willing to put the time and money into surface RC so it can get loney since I don't race. I have a lot more friends into helis since you need a flying field.

At this ponit I have:
4 x 1/10 electric on road
5 x 1/10 electric off road
3 x 1/16 and 1/18 on and off road
2 x 1/8 nitro off road

I also have:
9 x electric helis (from co-axial to 550 size)
1 x .50 nitro heli
2 x mini electric boat
1 x villain EX boat

That makes a total of 27 RC right now and I don't even want to think about how much $$.

iv mostly sold old rc's to buy new ones. but that was purely a money issue. i never had a RC that i wanted to sell.

I keep everything. There is no value in used RC (unless I canabilize for parts, and I don't have the heart to do that). So I might as well keep what I spent so much $$$ on, and keep on going with new stuff as I find I want it.
