how do i cycle my new batteries?????

Default how do i cycle my new batteries?????

i have a duratrax 4200 pack(not shotgun type) and a venom 3300 . can i cycle them thru my slash or do i need a discharger?

If you just run them normally through a few cycles you'll achieve the same result as with a dedicated cycler - so it's not super necessary that you have one. Also, your charger may have a built in automated cycler or at least a discharge function.

Charging and then discharging repeatedly.

whats the benefits of doing this?Is it becuase it causes the batteries would build up "memory"?

Nicads are more prone to "memory" where the pack will only discharge so far and then it wont' charge any more and discharge any more past that point. I guess in the "old days" of RC guys would use lamps to discharge their packs down to almost nothing to "prevent" memory. With Nhmi's... its not as big a deal. The whole idea with "cycling" is to get the most life out of your packs. Pro racers who are all into power will cycle to #1 get cell info and #2 to get the peak performance out of their pack. Don't be suprised if for the first say, 5 runs the power's prety bad, the battery needs to be "run in", after that... let the fun begin. I have noticed it alot with Lipos, for the first 6+ uses they aren't giving full power, after that, your screaming
