Default TRX 3.3 in a 8 buggy?

I was thinking of picking up a Losi 8 buggy and wanted to know if a TRX 3.3 would fit the engine mounts.

the 8 is a 1/8 size buggy. it requires a .21 or larger engine if you are racing you may have to stay with a .21. besides why would you put a vw engine in a ferrari?

I agree with that. Rather drop in a Losi 427. Way more power and imo much better engine. What is your reason for wanting to do this if I may ask?

Yea go with the 427. It is a really good overall engine.

To answer your question...
If the buggy requires a 21 size engine then it's most likely set up for a big block and the 3.3 will not fit those mounts.
Even if you modded the mounts/chassis to take the 3.3 you would find the buggy seriously underpowered.
Do what others ave suggested and get an engine appropriate for the vehicle, you'll be far happier with the results.
