Received losi truck nib broken part what to do?
Bought a Losi 8ight-t rtr from an Ebay seller. The Seller has a really good positive feedback. They are a power seller. Problem is that the truck
came with a broken front brake cam. Should I just replace the part myself, or should I return it for an exchange? Shipping will probably be like 30-40 bucks.
What should I do? I am soooo annoyed right now!!!

Contact the seller, take a picture and then send it to him and see if he replaces it OR Losi woukd replace it,

was it in fact new in the box? if that was the case, the seller didnt know and i would say that its just a case of bad luck. use the money you would spend to ship it back and just replace it yourself

As a buyer and a seller I'd suggest you contact the seller and tell him the problem. See what he is willing to do. I think the best compromise would be for the seller to refund you the cost of the part, you go buy it and replace it.

Not sure why you'ld even consider shipping it back for a $5 part. If it was truly new in the box then how could the seller even know about it? As I see it you have several good options.
Contact the seller, you gotta be fair and give the guy a chance and not just beotch on an internet forum.
Contact Horizon, they are excelent with warranty work/parts
Buy one yourself, that way you'll be up and running faster
Personally, I'd do all three

Just go buy the friggin part and while your at it, get two
descent servoes for that RTR. There, I saved you from
another usless post about how your servo gears stripped
and don't work properly any more. Gooood Luck.

See, the only thing about that is that it gives both the seller and the manufacturer a free pass and I don't think that's right.
I agree, buy the part - which he did if you read his other threads - but ALSO call the seller and the manufacturer. You may get the cost of the new part back and/or spare parts (spare parts are always good) and it lets everyone know that the vehicle they shipped was flawed.
That's why I said to do all three things.

Yeah I called the seller and they were more than happy to send me the part. I couldn't wait so I just stopped by a hobby shop and bought the part. Easy fix. I was just really annoyed at the time and wanted to run the thing!!!
