My first HPI Baja 5T video - jumps on the beach
After the 5T's first tank of gas consisting of two runs it was time to take the Baja to the beach! It's all stock except for: Pro-Line Excavator tires on Desperado wheels on the rear, blue HPI beadlock rings on stock front wheels, Dark Soul axle extenders all around, Outerwears on airfilter and pull start, and 50,000 weight oil in the differential.
for some reason this video won't upload with the "watch in high quality" option like I have with others but I figured I would post it for now while trying to sort it out.
Unfortunately the fun ended when the steering rod ball head screw stripped out of the "steering wiper arm"[:@]

RE: My first HPI Baja 5T video - jumps on the beach
Not that it matters much but I shouldn't have said 'stripped out'. The ball head screw is held by a lock-nut underneath and apparently the ball head screw and nut wasn't tight enough from the factory and after so many movements of the steering it finally turned the ball head enough to back the lock-nut off the bottom. So that lock-nut joins an assortment of lost/broken axles, drive pins, wheels hexes, etc. from other rc's on the beach somewhere..... The other side wasn't tight enough but at least I found out soon enough. I had half the car apart before even running it but that's one of the things I apparently didn't check....

Welcome to the world of gassers, and nice ride! I wish I had sand dunes like that near me. []
