Steel Tubing-welding or torch soldering?
Hi guys. I really want a dune buggy but the chassis I want is $250. thats a little high. I dont have a welder so I was wondering if I could torch the steel tubing together? thanks

The welding would be stronger. If you were to torch it together, you would have to keep an eye on the joints in order to catch any that are starting to fail. I must congratulate and wish you luck on wanting to make your own chassis. Good luck.

Unless you have a TIG welder and a lot of skill you wont be able to consistantly weld tubing of this size together. Brazing is a lot easier, ends up looking clean with minimal prep, and is more than strong enough.

Thats what I ment, brazzing. I might be getting a revo in a trade though so this might not happen. Thanks for the help guys.
