Default Engine Options?? Help Please?

I'm running a Kyosho Inferno Sport with the GS .21 motor that came with the car, but I don't feel like it is enough power for racing, which I would like to get into.

Can I please get a few suggestions for a new motor and where I can get them? I have heard that the OS RZ is a good options and possibly and RB motor, but I don't know where to go on the web to buy them.

Any suggestions on pipes would also be appreciated!!

Thank you in advance for your help

I'm still very new to nitro, so I'm not sure what p5 is? Can you elaborate?

hey, small world.....my buddy actually told me about this site today.

I'm in Lawrenceville, right down the road from you. I actually lived in Norcross for 18 years. Do you race competatively? The only track that I know of in our area is Sugarbowl. Have you been out there?

WS7 is a great motor, if you don't want to drop the cash, pick up an S7, its around 50 cheaper and there is no difference in power, just in the crankshaft coating. Also, you will want to replace yor spur gear that came on the Sports and go with a kit spur, also check the shimming of your diffs cause the RB motors make a LOT or power compared to a sport engine, if it is all not together nicely, it will strip them out.

Could you elaborate on the shimming part? Not to sure what you mean. Does anyone know where you can by RB engines on the web?

NewHyper7: your probably right, I should sell it all and put the money in my IRA.....but what fun would that be. You need to be changing your screen name to kanai II

you can pick up RB motors for the best price at www.ace-hobbies.net and the shimming is inside your case, when you pop off the covers from the front and rear diff cases, the diffs them selves are shimmed inside the case with small brass shims. Basically you make sure that the diffs them selves are not allowed any play with the pinion gear otherwise the power of a stronger engine will strip the crap out of them really quick. Should be in your owners manual for the car.
