Did a search, found a bunch, but if you guys could help me narrow it down to like 2 or 3.

Anything within an hour of downtown Chicago. Preferably looking for a store with good selection of RC stuff and fair prices.

Ditto. Al's is pretty good if I do say so myself. There is also Venture Hobby in Wheeling.

als is the best hands down the help know what they are talking about ,other then that I have to say the internet is #2 I dont want to flame the other 2 chicagoland hobby shops but they never have what you want .and when you go to als stop at Hamburger Hamlet they make a dubble burger that is so good like a big mac but so much better and fresh root beer it is almost worth the 16 mile drive .
