I live in the desert and during the morning its around 80 and the afternoon is around 105+ I do have a MIP temp guage installed on my RC10GT what is a good running temputure to run it at. Also does anyone know of a good website that explains in detail how to properly tune your engine from start to finish. I know what all the screws on the carb do but where do I start do I turn the low and high end screw closed and start from there or what?

If you know the factory settings you can close them and then screw them back out to factry settings, and then lean in in small increments from there. LSN seem to always be flush but I can't say that is an absolute. Someone else here may know for sure.
So, for example - the traxxas 2.5 has a HSN setting of 4 turns out from lean straight out of the box used to get the car at least started in most situations so that you can break it in. Then you lean in in 1/16 turn increments and make a few passes then do it again, and again until you feel the optimal performance - then it's sometimes suggested by some to richen slightly from peak settings to help the engine last that much longer.
Eventhough you have a different engine (I am assuming) the guidelines are similar for any engine.
Try http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/t...ctory_settings
For an overview in general tuning. FOLLOW YOUR CAR'S SETTINGS!!!!! but the ideas are the same in most cases.
Hope this helps - good luck!

Well.. every engine runs best at a particular temperature depending on the following variables:
1) Temperature
2) Humidity
3) Fuel nitro and oil %
4) Your style (hi speed runs or blips of throttle?)
Funny thing is high end engines tend to run better when hot than cheaper engines.
Typical engines run well at 225-240 but more expensive engines run well at 250-275.
When running at WOT you should have a clean trail of smoke.
IF your engine sputters or hesitates in any RPM range/band, then you can lean it a bit.
Hope that helps.
