First post time.
Ok i got a duramax evader st pro which has a futaba 2pl set up with r142je receiver and an intellispeed 12t modified esc and was told a trinity speed gem 12t but has no lable or markings so who knows. What is happing is when the battery is hooked up i pull back or push forward on the throttle and it works the steering and the steering control works the throttle. Can this be fixed by simply switching the plugs in the receiver or could the esc be screwed up or not programmed correctly? I have reset the 2pl and set the settings back to normal mode and not reverse mode but now the battery is dead and i don't have a new charger yet.

Yeah you need to switch the plugs on the receiver. Your channels are switched, the ESC is plugged into the channel controlled by the steering wheel, and vice versa. Simply switch the plugs and you should be good. You'll need to readjust your trims and possibly recalibrate the ESC as per it's instructions, but you might not have to either.
