I have agreed to trade my Rustler rtr for a slash 4x4 and the guy Maxx21 said we would ship the same day, we both had tracking numbers except his never worked, but mine has already shipped. But he never shipped his truck, now he says that he told me to call the post office and cancel the shipment, but in my email records there is no such thing, he never said anything about that. Now he has my truck in maine and Im in florida, what do I do to get my truck back?

So, as it stands right now - he has your truck (I.E you have proof of delivery) but you don't even have a valid tracking number for the truck coming to you? What does he say is going on?

Call his local police and complain.

Call the Post Office and claim mail fraud.

Forget e-mail and call on the phone. Maybe his wife will answer and give him crap once she hears the story.

Drive to Maine and knock on the door.

Seriously, it's a shame when it happens.

What we need is a trusty third party to handle trades. Nothing gets forwarded until both itmes to be traded are recieved. A small fee could be imposed plus the cost of the second shipping.

If you drive over there, take a witness.
But do everything the above post says.

the tracking number says it was in his post office this morning, I filled out a mail recall form and now they are trying to retrieve the package off one of the trucks. and yes he never sent his truck, and I emailed him and he said that he was all set, and didn't want to trade anymore. This Maxx21 is the most dishonest person I know.

You be able to report him to a moderator. The last thing we need is poeple like this giving RCU a bad name. He should at the very least keep you up to date and not just blow you off like he did.

You got taken. Take the hit and move on. Never agree to trade that way.

I asked him to ship it back, and this is the message I got back "stop emailing me. i told you im done with the deal. worry about ur own package."

Wish I could help you out man. That really sucks and I know how you feel.
Not to long ago I did a trade and right after shipping I got a notice from RCU saying not to deal with this guy.. They shut him off and I had to retrack my shipment.. Deal ended up costing more in the long run..

This happens time and time again. People need to use a little more common sense when it comes to trades. I don't care what the items is, if the person has barely any feedback and a low post, they ship first or NO DEAL. People have tried to scam me and once I set they ground rules that they are going to ship first or I won't do the deal, they tend to go away.

You need tp see what the PO does if they can get the package back and if not you'll have to take legal action by calling the police where he lives and report it so it's on file. You're going to go through a headache with this but you need to see it through to the end.

Not trying to be mean, but a Rusty RTR for a Slash 4x4, I can see why he backed out of the deal and perhaps tried to scam you. I think though he thought that the Slash is a much better truck than the Rusty and he decided not to trade. He just went about it the wrong way.

Good luck in your situation and keep us posted. I have a list of scammers that I keep handy and I'm going to add him to it.

yeah I thought it was to good to be true but honestly who would pass up a deal like that. He finally answered my email, he said he is on vacation, and he will ship it on monday, but we'll see what happens. never do buisness with this guy, I am warning you all.

Monday shipping sounds like a throw off, ring the police in his area and report it still, today. The date reported makes a huge difference if you catch up with him in court.
l cant stand net scammers, l think  a 10 year jail terms would be justice for this sort of thing and credit card theft..

No matter what happens, even if by some fluke he returns it, l would still report it.

Do you know if your car was delivered to him, or is it still in the postal system somewhere?

Wow this guy is a real peice of work. I sold a RC10GT to a member here. He had the money in my paypal account and I sent him the vehicle bright and early the next day via UPS. Also PM'd him the tracking number right away. He received it about 4 days later. It was a great transaction all the way around. Thats how it should be. No games. Guys like this make my blood boil.

if he didn't want he should have refused the delivery and told them return to sender it would have been that easy. He's trying to scam you plain and simple. And if you pursue it you could make his life a living hell and get a felony on his record which would make it fun for him to try and find work Seeing he carried out postal fraud which if you pursue it could end him up in jail also.

PM the guy from this site, he replied to me within 3 hours, l did it just to see if he kept an eye on what happens here, maybe you can private message and work it out to get your stuff back ?

all i can say is good luck and i hope you get your stuff back...I hate it when people get taken, but unfortunatly it does happen. If the deal sounds to good to be true 9 times outta 10 it is.

i work for the Post office and a rural carrier! You need to file a mail fraud claim as soon as possible! mail fraud is a felony and carries huge fines and jail time and the Post office does not back down. believe it or not a postal inspector has rights that some FBI don't have to solve mail fraud. They are true pitbulls, and you need to follow up right away with USPS!

I am waiting till monday to see if they intercepted my package, but I doubt they did, because the tracking number says it was delivered. I will call the post office on monday to see if they got it. The guy Maxx21 says he was going out of town this weekend and he will contact me on monday, he said that if he got the package (which I am pretty sure he did) he would ship it back, but we will see what happens. If he doesn't ship it, things are going to get real bad for him real quick.

Man I hate to hear about stuff like this happening. 98% of people on here are descent people who don't want to rip you off but there is alway that 2%. I just read this dirtbag's feedback ratings and you are not the only one who has had trouble with him in the past. I really hope you get your stuff back this kind of thing boils my blood. Good Luck!
