Quick question, quick answer.

I have a new battery charger. To charge a 1600 mah NiMH battery, do I set my charger at 1.6 Amps?

Yes, 1C (the exact mAH capacity of the battery) is a good starting point. If it peaks early do a balancing charge.

It will take theoretically 1 hour to charge it. If you set it to 0,8 amp it will take to hours.
