Venom Batteries
Are venom batteries good? Their new lipos are hardcased, come with a 1 year warranty, and are extremely resonable. Anybody have them? Are they reliable?

RE: Venom Batteries
I don't have any, but I've heard their lipos are ok ... avoid anything else. Hobby City are very popular at the moment as far as cost and being reiliable for the money.

enom have a pretty good rep, I use there 6volt hump packs/fail safes and charger and have never had an issue. Good stuff.

wow your the 1st person I ever heard say that
Honestly I've bought over 5 venom products they ALL sucked horrendously for the amount of cash they charge. Their motors suck their 1800 NiCds SUCK (and cost the same as a 2S 5200 Lipo) Their NiMh's SUCK, their bodies are almost paper thin and crack easy.
I've heard their lipos are ok but personally I won't trust them HK gets my cash for that stuff seeing I can get 2 lipos with a higher C rating and capacity for the same price as a $50 venom lipo

Every NIMH venom pack I have ever owned have been under their rated capacity with poor longevity... Never used on of their LIPO's, but wouldn't expect much. To the person saying they have a good rep, GOOD ONE! HA!

NiMh's I've seen 4000mah charge to 2800 max
their motors burn out in 2-3 runs (if they last that long)

I've used quite a few over the years, their NiMhs and NiCads are mediocre and are fine only for casual general purpose use, but you can do way better. Their Lipos aren't bad though.

RE: Venom Batteries
I have a few of them and they're ok. Not the best but they're a ok bash pack. I got the 4200's and they charge to close to that granted I don't discharge my NiMH pack all the way down but my charger has a mah reading that they put in and it gets to just shy of 4200 every time.

RE: Venom Batteries
ive heard good things about the lipos but like others have said you can do better, for the price of a venom lipo you you can get a much better spc 5000 2s1p pack. and imo they are underrated packs.
venom ni packs are inconsistant, my buddy has 2 3000's that hes had for few years now but ive bought packs that last 10 cycles before a cell died.
