Default What Engine?

Guys. what do i call a engine whit the exhatutus header that is NOT round.... i want the rectangle sort.. not the round one... what does such engine call?

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the ROUND exhaust ports are found almost exclusively on "Rear Exhaust" engines. The RECTANGLE ports are usually found on the "Side Exhaust" motors.

thank u lol, sry my english is bad when it comes to stuff that school dosnt teach out, as RC Engine types anyway im just checkin it out on towerhobbies to see what engine to get for my car. thanks agian guys u're the best RC forum ever online

Anyway, do u recommend a OS .12 TR for on road bashing on my Pureten. Or do u got any other recommendations? just a fast one becous thats why im changing my Kyosho .12 ball bearing goes very very slow thou

The OS are obviously very good engines! If you're looking for another option, you may want to look at the Fantom FR12. They are reasonably priced and put out around 1.2 hp.

hehe thanks, lets say if i get a fantom. do i have to get a specific 2 speed tranny or is it the normal Kyosho one who it's still.. ? i mean is it based on engine? *silly question expecting a no* just wanna make sure

P.S will my specific Kyosho PureTen Pipe whos side one be still as good on the fantom?

And another problem? what prize and HOW to get it? i cant even find it in Tower Hobbies, i wonder even how to get a Fantom .12 when i live in Sweden... Also, are u 100% sure that it will fit my Kyosho PureTen GP Alpha?

You need to know what type of shaft your car requires...ie: Pilot, SG. Most manufactures have differernt shaft types in their motors for different clutch setups. You should be able to look in your manual or on Kyosho's web site. Or you could also pull out the old motor, take off the clutch and get a look at the shaft. Hope this helps and good luck

You can buy the Fantoms directly from the Fantom website or from usahobbies.com or stormerhobbies.com
