RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
stop saying the same thing, apreciate the imput but your a broken fricken record!!!
|
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
Dont have to get all cranky if I tell you the truth, just go with a revo as it sounds like your trying to avoid the higher price. Kinda hard for you to tell me to stop saying the same thing as Im the only one answering your question. Nitro may not be for you, if your trying to avoid the higher price are you going to be able to pay $22 a gallon and for broken parts.

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
lol. cadillac kid is sure a big electric fan. Personally I love nitro, but thats just me.
He is definately right though if you are looking to avoid high prices you would be best off with a revo. The Hellfire will probabaly be ther fastest but more money. The LST2 sits higher and would be better for offroading but it is more expensive than the revo. They are all about equally tough(not too sure about the hellfire). You will be happy with any of these trucks. Just pick what you like best and whatever your wallet can handle. Don't forget you may want some hop ups on whatever truck you buy. Stop by a hobby shop and physically look at and feel the trucks. This will give you a better idea of the build quality and toughness than any pics or explanations. Remember what i said though, Alberta is cold a lot of the year so less plastic = more fun if you plan to run in the winter. |

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
really? It's just that in all the posts of yours I've read you seem to be an electric guy. nothing meant by it.:D

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
I like both, electric is easier, but nitro is fun when you want to go crazy and loud! I do like my little lst though, alot of fun in a small package.

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
I thought I wanted something more racey so I got the revo a month ago. But then I got bored with going over the small jumps. and decied to take it to the track where the big kids jump there bikes. Decided I really liked jumping my truck 7 feet in the air and doing back flips. But I started to breaking motor mounts everytime I took my truck out. So I went out and bought a Savage X today. I still havn't broken it in. But the things that I don't like about the Revo where the motor mounts kept breaking, I blew out a bearing, and screws are really easy to strip on it. I find that I have to be really carefull when I take it apart so I don't strip a screw.

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
You need to go to a hobby store and pick one out, you keep coming up "which one is better" which is impossible to answer because people will say for whatever they own. Go to the lhs, look at the models, ask questions, and find one you like, with alot of upgrades, for a good price. [sm=wink.gif][sm=surprised.gif]

you need to shut the **** up

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
you need to shut the **** up All you have done this entire thread is ask questions about what to get, I have very nicely helped you, and now all I here is negative imput by you. Coming on to me isnt going to solve anything, Ive answered more of your questions then anyone in this thread. Every question you have asked also could have been solved by searching but instead of saying that Im nice and thoroughly answer each of your questions. My last post was the best thing you could possibly do when picking out a new vehicle, but instead im treated like nothing. Later...... |
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
ORIGINAL: MI66 you need to shut the **** up He isn't wrong dude. Your best bet really is to go to a lhs and check them out. Just by looking at them and feeling them you can tell what suits you and what feels more solid. There is a nice hobby shop on 32nd i think in the NE of Calgary on the norht side of the road, The have pretty much everything in stock on display. (exceppt cen of course which they donty handle[&o]) I think you get 2 free engine tuneings free when you buy an RC there too. They have a big selection but i think the prices are slightly better at the one on 16th ave NW right accross from Peter's drive in, even though it's a smaller shop. weird i know. Just stop by a few places and talk to the salesmen/owners and see what RC is brought in least for repairs. lol |
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
i didnt say he was wrong im jsut sick of him posting stuff, and he dosnet own either one so hes not qualified to answer thats all.

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
where are some cool places to bash in calgary, preferably in the northwest but whereevers good.
|
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
i have a savage 4.6 and hellfire.both blow away buddies of mine revo's.cen genesis doesnt even come close.as far as drag racing my 12 year old rc10gt will out run them all. straight line speed goes to savage 4.6 but hellfire quicker on track because it handles so much better.
|
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
im down to the revo 3.3 and lst2, i want a good balance between bash and track preformance. 65% bash 35% race.
|
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
What about a MGT, I wouldnt consider the revo 3.3 just yet. Nobody has tested the engine and for all we know it could be complete crap.
|
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
theres some guy in the forums that has one and he said it was all it was made out to be and more
|
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
oh course he is a Mod on the Traxxas site so that might be a little bias. A big good name company like that isnt going to relase and new product that is junk, they go through alot of testing.

RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
Caddy kid, name two traxxas vehicles you have owned, and two traxxas engines that you have ran fuel through. Do it.
|
RE: NEW GUY NEEDS HELP SELECTING
I havnt owned any, because I dont like them, yet my LHS owner carries alot of traxxas. Lets see what I have run here- rustler, nitro rustler, stampede, nitro stampede, t-maxx, e-maxx, revo. Engines- trx .15, trx 2.5, stinger 20t(electric). There ya go, heres your list. I will comment that the revo is a pretty nice truck... but I couldnt say the same for the others....
