Default jr xs2i radio vs. standard receiver

can anyone answer this question? i have a jr xr2i radio and i was wondering did it matter or if i could just match the crystals in the radio and receiver. and just use the standard receiver in my truck without having to replace it with the one that comes with the jr xr2i radio. please help!

Default RE: jr xs2i radio vs. standard receiver

should work as long as the radio/reciever are the same frequincy(27/75), am/fm and same crystals.
