so your gona try to drift the pig eh? i used jb weld in the rear diff and front one way for my set up depending of tire and surface you can get some major over steer!!! the kits open diff doest work if you can carry speed through your drifts. if your going to be running a 27t motor i recomend a fdr of 5.5 to 6.0 but tunning is a hit and miss thing

its simple just put jp weld on all 5 inner bevel gears let it set for 24 hours and your done. if you want to save just put jb weld on the 3 spider gears just depands on how you want to go about it.

it preforms good just a bit tricky at times its a timming game really got catch the over steer add some gass and ride the slide the front one way acts like an e-brake but due to the weight of the tb-01 it likes to slide out wards its a good on a wide corse. but i did get it to hook up realy well some asfalt with hpi t-drifts really damn good but the tire go out to fast. drifted in a cars face that came clost to pan caking my car in parking lot.[X(] not gona do that again. yeah its sturdy but there is to much chassis flex it will chew on gears for me. try flexing front and back at the same time and you will see what i mean.

So you got that setup off eBay, eh?! How come the auction was listed and then re-listed? What's the story?

Is it just the picture or the rear tires have toe-out? Did you mix up the left and right rear knuckles? Make sure that you check them.. !!

Have fun!

I guess there is a guy on ebay with incomplete kits. I can get them.

I think the toe out on the rear is due to me tighten them up too much. There is a left and right? I thought they were identical...?

I don't remember.. but just make sure that the rear should either be 0 toe or toe-in, never toe-out.. if it is toe-out, then there's left and right and you need to swap them.. !!

Not much you can do there.. aluminum driveshaft, Evo gears, that will reduce the weight quite a bit.. (see the build thread) But not much else can be done, I think.. I think the top deck can be changed out to CF unit..

I found another way to lock the diff without using anything. You take one of the 3 bevel gears, and mash it between 1 & 2. Close the diff and there you go locked diff. You can go back to regular diff it you do it right. A guy at my track did this to TT01 drive train. is TB01 and TT01 similar drive trains?

I'm going to try it tonight.

Oh so jamming the bevel in between did not work for me. It seems to slip. So I used playdoh. It seems to work, but does still slip a little bit. Im going to take it to the track at sheldon once my reciever comes in. I will post more info from my testing.

I will start to work on my 2nd TB01 for rally.

Where can I find cheap rally block tires?

JB Weld is the winner~

I locked my rear end made minor adjustments to toe in and rear camber, and I'm drifting like a dream! I have to use power to drift due to the lack of adjustments possible with TB01 chassis.

Here is my TB01D setup! (I added the D for Drift)

Chassis: TB01
Suspension: Stock
Motor: Trinity 24T
ESC: 200A ebay cheapo
Wheels: Stock
Tires: Tamiya Driftech
Servo: Futaba 3003
Receiver: Futaba R12JE

Its alot of fun drifitng it at my local track. Rally RC car drifting! O.o I will post pics.....

Hey LB,

I was wondering if you had some ideas to free up the pinion gear. It seems the pinion is mashed up against the Spur, and not allowing the car to coast... When I looked at the motor mount there are no slots just various holes. The other settings seem to not grab the pinion.

If anyone else has ideas please let me know.

You need to check the manual... Each set of holes corrosponds to one particular spur and pinion combo.. At least that's how most of the Tamiya kits work.. I am not home so I can't check it for you...
