Default WWII Combat Plans

I was just asked if I would like to start a combat team with a few other members of our club. Does anyone know where I can get easy/quick to build WWII combat plans?

Thanks in advance,

tinwakr

JKAerotech makes some very nice scale combat kits that are easy to build and very durable. You should also check out the RCCA site at www.rccombat.com, on the left side of the page under "Resources" there is a link to a list of kits / plans that has a pretty decent listing of kits avialable for scale combat.

Check out the web site owned by Jack Lewis. Checksixplans.com. Great flying planes, planes build fast with minimal parts.

Do not, repeat do not, buy a balsa airplane for WWII combat! It will end up being a beautiful shower of balsa in a very short time. Foam or fiberglass are the way to go hence JKA Aerotech or other foam based kit builders. Check Six plans are balsa and no one flying combat regularly will use balsa.

If you want a nice 1/12 scale sport model then buy a balsa Pica or Check Six kit but don't use it for combat.

Have to agree with davisw, although a balsa cloud is a site to behold!

Check six has some nice plans. If you like the designs, get a plan set and convert the outline to foam. We have done that with good success. JK Aerotech makes some nice kits that are relatively easy to build and will take some serious abuse.

That is the correct URL. The full link is:
http://www.rccombat.com/rcca.asp

The RCCA site has been experiencing technical problems over the last few days, but it is up as of this post.

Yeah, the RCCA site has had some technical problems.

JKAerotech's site is:
http://www.jkaerotech.com/

There are some first class fiberglass kits available from Waverly RC at
http://www.waverc.com/

And you can't forget Hattrick
http://www.hattrickrc.com/

Jay Lawless makes some nice kits. I have one of their spits half done:
http://home.att.net/~jlawless3/wsb/h...ome.html-.html
(don't ask me about that strange url)

There are others, of course.

If you're interested in SPAD combat planes, you can find some at www.spadtothebone.com.

Inexpensive planes for combat.
