We decided to go with 4 classes. The cool thing is there will be only one engine size class (B engines only)That way all you have to do to change classes is strap on your stock muffler and a new prop
Scale will have NO tuned exhaust, AT ALL.It will have a prop and RPM limit and weight min.
The SSC class will have the same limits as scale with a wingspan limit added.
Open will just be Open.
The 4th will be a club class, ONE design only.(not for points)
This is a work in progress(going very slow).

Is this "THE LAND OF THE LEVEL PLAYING FIELD" we've been reading about for a year now??
Looks more like a level field with four humps

Jimbo - I'm definately not trying to knock you or anything, I know how hard it is to get anything going in combat!, But what is the advantage of creating new classes for NSCC as opposed to running the "establiched" classes? Pilots could then use their planes in national competition withut modification.
I know in the beginning you (along with MANY others) did not think the .15 size engines would be fun in SSC but the class has evolved into something great, so why start a new class?
For semi-scale fun you could just run the ssc warbirds as a separate class.
A "one design" class definately has merit - but which design? Spads would be good here.
Seriously, I'm not criticizing, just looking for insight.

The first NSSC contest is in the making and will be held in Beaumont at Charles Warren's field in April(date note firm). Contrary to the georgiacombat.com site I am not the sole member, maybe the soul member[X(] There are only 14 of us so far but it is still in it's infancy. I'll post some pics after the damage is done.
