Someone asked about some of our rules so here are a few. The site will be up soon.
Engine max is .28cid
No tuned exhaust of any kind
Must have a working R/C carb.
10x3 APC prop
15500 RPM limit
3lbs min weight
exhaust port must be at factory specs !
Max Wing Span is 68"
RCCA scoring will be used.
This is the basics.[8D]

I somehow managed to move this thread instead of another. Could the Moderator here please move this back to the R/C Combat forum!
Sorry Jimbo! Hope to have this fixed in a jiffy...

NSCC contests will be easy to hold, one class means one day events will be a breeze. No more having to follow the band wagon in your area from class to class always buying new equipment. No worrying about if its too windy to fly or launch down wind. No worrying about carrying two or three fuels to mix just so you can slip in right at a legal rpm limit just so your plane will not fall out of the sky from lack of power. Why pay the same price for a fragile little temperamental motor when you can use a more durable reliable engine or maybe even use all the B class engines you ALREADY have.
The NSCC will NEVER have more than this one class. Simple is beautiful.
I have had to buy equipment for 4 classes of combat to fly in my area. I don't have the time, money or desire to do this anymore. We only have 300 or so combat pilots in the US so we don't need five or six different classes (IMO).
And yes, this class is a close copy of the new rcca scale class.(thanks Ed/Cash)
A year ago some of the top pilots in the rcca suggested a class VERY similar to this and they were ignored. This will be a perfect cross from NSCC to Open B or the other way. The NSCC will have a NPS.

I forgot mention, not only will this class be a perfect cross to RCCA Open B it will make a great cross to the new scale class. Just think how great it would be for ONE engine to do it all. One plane for NSCC and Open B

Jimbo, if you have a RPM limit and a prop limit, why do you need an engine size limit. Why can't I just use my trusty old OS.32 or ST.34. So long as they swing the 10x3 prop under 15,500 why worry about the engine.
I've bought engines for four classes and now will have to rebuy for another[>:] It appears you are trying to unlevel the playing field[&o]
I've heard a rumor this class is intended for Raptors only. Is this true??[X(]

Actually Cajun we have been talking about allowing up to .36's I'm very open to that idea, however I don't want to encourage the use of larger than .28 engines because I want folks to be able to use there engines for NSCC, 2548 Scale and Open B.
I know you are really not going to believe this one but here it goes, I have built my last Raptor. When my fleet is gone I'll be flying Slashers from then on. By the way your imput is welcome and appreciated. Nothing is etched in stone yet.

Cajun I should have a solid answer about the engines weekend after next. We will be flying stock Webra.32's against Irvine and OS.25's on the same airframes with 10x3 props. I think there will be an insignifigant difference in performance.

Starting Jan.1st 2005 the NSCC will accept copies of score sheets from RCCA contests that want to hold Limited-B contest as a demo or otherwise. The NSCC NPS contest will be listed separately. At the end of the year a very nice trophy and $500. will be awarded to the overall winner of the two. (Meaning NSCC NPS and RCCA NPS in Limited-B )
All rules will be listed by Sunday 7/25/04.

I guess that I need to get to parcticing with my Raptors now[8D]

Why the money?
It still comes down to the more events you can attend the better the chances, OH WELL.

1.)Hi Jim, long time no see. Do you fly cambat anymore ?
2.)Why the money you ask. Just because I like it.
3.)"It still comes down to, the more contest you attend the better your chance of winning"
You think this is bad? How can I fix it? I sure don't want some guy that only goes to one or two contests a year to win it.

National Sport Combat Club. It is in the process of being resurrected by a group of pilots from southeast Texas to south central Louisiana. It is not going to be limited to that area though. I would like to change the name to the NCA, National Combat Association. I'll have to check with the guy building the website for approval first.

I still fly combat when I get the chance, but the work that allows the flying, is getting in the way.
I did not say that going to more events is a bad thing, just that it is better to have a bigger variety of opponents to hone your skills on.
I think it would be a great incentive for all, if the winner was someone that was not always put up on the pedestal of magazine columns. I know that I wont have to worry about it. I am there to enjoy the cuts I get and CARP about the cuts that I miss, but this is the nature of this sig anyway (for us youth challenged folks)
Oh well, it is time for my nap, now where did I leave that cane [8D]

It's not a rival, just an alternative. I'm also an RCCA member. We are working on a new class in the RCCA which may delay or even negate the need for the NSCC.
