Hi, I have a SPAD combat plane and need and engine, I was wondering if GMS engines were any good.

I have a friend that runs a few and he likes them. He's gotten them to turn some pretty high RPMs with a bit of tweaking.

From what I've seen, they've been inconsistant, some good engines, some not so good. You'll want a mousse can muffler to go with it though.

For a first combat engine, you're generally better off going with an OS just because they are easier to get running right and producing good power.
