Hey guys!
Im fairly new to this website and very new to coroplast planes like the SPAD. I would like to add some cool color graphics to my SPAD and was wondering if monokote or ultracoat would be suitable for this. If so, what are the tricks to getting it to stick and look halfway decent? I have been building for years and am fairly decent at monokoting although nowhere near as good as Faye Stilley! Thanks guys for your help!

I've recently looked into SPAD airplanes also. They look realy neat, and for the price your can't beat em. Since it's coroplast, pretty much advertisement stands, I would just use a marker or paint on it. I don't know if Monokote would stick to Coroplast, but it doesn't hurt to try. Which model are you going to build? There are so many to choose from.
Sorry if I wasn't much help.

I have been using 3M colored packing tape. You can get this at hardware stores or if you want, I have been oredering mine from JK Aerotech, they seem to have colors you can't get at a hardware store. Very easy to put on and change if you need to. Hope this helps.

From: Wichita, KS,
Go to the local sign making shop. They sell what is called 5 year vinyl sign lettering. I picked up 30 foot X 15" rolls for around $8. It comes in every color you can think of, and is fuel proof...and guess what? It's the SAME stuff the hobby companies make trim sheets out of! Very often the sign shops will give you scraps that would otherwise end up in a dumpster. It's sticky back and just sticks on...if you look at the Spads on the Spad originals site at spadtothebone, it's what is used for all the markings...even on the spit and stang.
