I saw that treneff rc posted a new pic on their website for a next gen ssc to replace the old one. Anybody seen or have one of these?

Looking at it, I don't think you'll really notice any differences with the way it flies. Mostly sounds like they reworked the CNC cutting patterns for the wing saddle, some CNC metal cutting, and filled in some missing areas on the manual ( which is good ). I don't think it is as much of a redesign as it is a couple tweaks and some production streamlining. Still, a fun combat plane that I have flown a TON. And as always, I'm sure it is very well packages in teh box. They seem to do very well in that department.

The first [link=http://www.treneffrc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=BA-SSC-100-KIT]NEW GENERATION Battle Axe SSC[/link]'s shipped out on Monday. The changes to the new generation kit are mainly structural. You'll still get the same top-notch performance, but the new kit is even easier to assemble. Among changes to the new AXE:
[ul][*]New upgraded high-strength LASER-CUT Wing Saddle Kit - designed with interlocking pieces to build fast, true, and strong.[*]New STRONGER LASER-CUT aluminum servo plates - still designed for mirco and full-size servos![*]We completely re-wrote the instruction manual and more than doubled the size of the pictures for even easier assembly![*]Even the "BATTLE AXE ssc" vinyl logo has been upgraded!</li>
[/ul]
The new kit is designed to still dominate the airspace while getting you in the air even faster.

My Feedback: (9)
Alex.
Will apreciate your help:
We have down here in Guatamala 6 Kits of your planes for SSC combat, but can´t get them to fly well.
They are pitch sensitive and my friends can´t controll them.
Since they were send to build don´t now what was the final configuration on C.G and and movement of surafaces.
Questions:
What is the the desing incidence of wing and stab to the fuse.?
Where is the C.G on the wing?
What are your recomended movements of flying surfaces for the first flight?
equipmente on planes
OS 0.15 LA
Satandard equipment.
Thanks

If it's not flying well there must be something out of place or else malfunctioning. The Battle Axe should be very maneuverable and agile at full-stick throws, yet fly like a normal sport plane if assembled as per the instructions. The causes we've seen of an AXE being sensitive on the trim or changing trim is either a servo that is not secured (allowing the control surface to move) or a radio that is malfunctioning (transmitter, receiver, or bad battery pack).
The wing should sit directly on the wing saddle. For first flights set the maximum throws to 1/2" (13mm) up and down. In fact, we don't normally specify a recommended CG because if everything is done per the instructions, it should balance every time. However, if it balances far from the spar, something is in the wrong place.
If you'd like to e-mail me some pictures I'll see if anything looks out of place so we can get you in the air and chasing some streamers. [email protected]

Guys, we now have two new Battle Axes (witha third being completed) - all have .25s. They are great flying planes. One was built by a novice pilot & builder, but he followed the plans and the plane flies great. The only bad thing about the plane was that our other pilot and I went (I'm flying a Air Devil) up with streamers for the first time and he lost
Lucky cut I guess or I'll brag and say it was superior piloting skills!
For the few minutes we were up, it was a blast.
