Default O.S. Max .15 CV-A Interchange with a CV-X series

Has this been done in the past and has it worked is the question. Take a .15 CV-X (buggy version) series liner and piston install in a .15 CV-A (aircraft version) and what the results were? I know you have to consider the techanical aspects, ie: port timing etc, etc along wih the mechanical application of it fitting at all? Thank you for any input.

OS made a version like this, it was the CV-A case with the CV-X pis/cyl. This was a pipe-timed engine and was called the CV-DF (ducted fan), for use in Kyosho ducted fan ARFs. designed for high-rpm operation on a tuned pipe.
