First off, my name is Jeff and I would like to say WHATS UP! So I've always wanted to try a new hobby which is r/c cars! But really I don't know where to begin. I was looking through sites and looking through the gas powered cars and electrics, but which one should I choose for a newb?! Thanks.

funny thing you should ask, right the market is flooded with options, are you into drifting / drag racing or old school their a bit of everything in the rc world, is your taste stylish, then maybe you should try drifting! tamiya/ hpi is agreat place to start.

I'm really into drifting! And yeah I was gazing through the market section. But one thing that really confuses me is that which chassis should I start with for electric cars?

Ah I see, right by the rest of the hotels and beach! I was doing some research, and there is no events for RC drifting in SoCal. What a bummer..

Is there going to be RC drifting at that event? Looks like 1:1 event. Check out sacramento drift network, don't know how far from you, but they are up and coming on the drift scene, they post RC drift events.
