Its a TT01E
Pinion/Spur 21/61
EZRun 3300Kv 13T brushless
EZRun 60A ESC
Mystery 2800mAh 30C lipos

Ball bearings all round and an alloy prop shaft
3Racing solid spool on the rear with alloy dogbones
Tamiya? CVDs on the front with the diff packed with grease!
Standard shocks with Tamiya Sport Tuned springs
2 Deg toe in rear hubs

Bearings on the steering and GPM turnbuckles
Front hubs modded to get rid of most of the ackermann
Tabs cut off the top front arms to get more steering angle
3 degree toe out on the front

Sonic approves of the curly wurly wiring

I've made my own neons and front/rear lights, prob do brake lights when I get round to cutting up this cheapo servo I have.

I'm drifting on insulation tape because I haven't tried anything other than some cheapo treaded drift tyres off ebay, they didn't last long and are too small to give me ground clearance now, lol. It handles, I think, really well. Soooo much better than when I started out before mods/upgrades. There is a lot of ballast on there too for near perfect 50/50 front/back and side to side. I used stainless steel bolts for ballast, lol!
I'll most likely run this until I decide to go CS at which point I'll probably get a Sakura Zero S or a TA05 maybe. It had been a lot of fun playing with it and I'm still not bored of it after a few months. Still need some bits like adjustable upper arms because it's running about 2 deg. camber all round. I'd like to get rid of the play in the steering too.
I know it's not great but it is fun! What you reckon??
I'm trying to avoid buying any hop ups that do nothing for me too, the drive train hasn't suffered much as the motor's not too powerful.

Your TT01 looks good, still tidy.
It aint all about the car, many a competition was won using a TT01 agianst TA05, Yokomo ect....Like someone said... Practice Practice Practice !!!
I too started on tape.....still do it now some days.......but invest in some decent tires, and youll see the difference in your car's handling

Thanks for the comments guys
Haha yeah he likes trying to chew the antenna, he'll be gutted when I get a 2.4GHz set
I do want some of those Raikou tyres, probably get the D68/DXPE combo, I have a feeling postage is going to be a lot to the UK though

Looking good!
Get some oil shocks (the TRF's or plastic) and you will notice how much smoother and more stable the car is while drifting

Thanks Mr Lee
I'll more than likely be getting some oil shocks at some point, but the rubbish steering is going to get some attention first! At the moment I'm surprised the wheels still point in the same general direction with how much play and flex there is :s

You are always going to have slop no m,atter what you do......it's just the way it is designed! The E steering is way better than the standard one by far.
The main culprit, once you have all the steering upgrades, is the play in the front suspension and steering knuckles due to the way they attach to the suspension arms!
The ali steering arms are only slightly better than the standard type E steering with bearings and not really worth spending all the money on....unless you want the bling

Lol no I'm not after blinging it up, that's what the shell's for! It is a type E and I've swapped out the bushes for bearings. I know what you mean about play, I'm annoyed at how bad those GPM turnbuckles are and I plan to fit ball ends and decent turnbuckles like tamiya or 3racing ones.
I don't wanna do too much to this chassis that can't be transfered across to another if I ever get a TA05/Sakura Zero S or similar. Hopefully the new TA will hammer down the TA05 price and I can pick up a tub chassis one for cheap!
