Default Drift tyres

When they first came out in the UK i thought they looked good for a laugh. A friend of mine and me decided we would try and make our own. The first attempt was successfull for electric but not nitro. We used an old set of tyres and glued on cable ties. A cheap option but it did only work for the nitro for about 5 mins before it ripped them off.
The second attempt we have just carried out we realised that a Pepsi can or other cans have the same diameter to the 1/10 r/c wheels. Using a dremel we cut them up and attach to the wheels and they work like the real things. Just one problem getting traction to get the car going.
They are so fun to hold the car in a continuous drift.

PVC tape wrapped round trued down rubber works well, and is quick to do

You could have used the same effort and got hold of a length of 50mm polypipe, cut lengths of 27mm and stuck wheels in

PVC pipe rocks
