speed doesnt matter in drifting its all about control and accleration, like you could have a 300bhp ae87 beat a 600skyline in drifting because the skyline is massive overpowered, which is the same in rc, my mate beat a hpi r40 by 1 lap with his 19spec powered schumacher axis 2 so in theory you dont actually need straight line speed

SenSei, you're running a 9 turn on stock gearing?!?! Why? You're gonna destroy that motor so quickly. And from what equipment you have on your car right now, you could've easily bought a much better car. TT-01's are great cars for budget minded beginners, but they'll end up making you want more.
pyrodon, if you can save up the money, skip the TT-01. Go for a TC3, TC4, Sprint, TB-01, TB-02, or TA-04.

i agree with u 100% man, i know that now, but i bought that car and had it stock for a while, but then i got the stuff to make it go fast, but now i realise i should have got a better chassis, and why will i destroy the motor ?

Gearing: you should drop a tooth on your pinion for every turn on your motor that you go down,i went from a 19t to a 13x2 so my gearing went from 25/97 to 19/87 hope this helps.
