thanks for your time, and if we needed to make a sticky about different tire selections, this one should be included... as well as a million other things...

Okay, ABS is really hard to find if you dont look in the right places. I searched every hardware store for more than a day and came up with nothing. Then i called several plumbing supply stores and also came up with nothing. Then the final plumbing supply store i called said, "ABS? they only use that stuff in mobile homes and RV's, try calling a mobile home supply store". So i did, and they had A POOP TON of 2" id ABS piping. I went, bought 3 feet and it cost me like $3.00 (US Funds). So, i would check with a local RV and mobile home supply company. I am almost positive they will have what you are looking for. Hope this helps!

the "popular aution site" ones are nice, because they are turned on a lathe for trueness. But they come at a price. For three dollars i have made six full sets of drift tires (thats 24 total tires). All i ad to do to make mine real nice and pretty was: Mount the tires on the rim, chuck the wheel through the axle hole on my dremel, turn the dremel on, and smooth out the sidewalls and surface with a piece of sandpaper while the dremel spins. It was really quite easy and the results are very nice looking tires, you can see mine in this thread (all of my cars have the ABS tires cut by me).

In my opinion they look just as good. You can do it.

There is a right up in that thread with the pics on how i made the muffler.

That is awesome that you have a lathe, you should cut some tires in custom widths (cause the "popular auction site guys only make ones that are 26mm) like 30mm. That would be freakin sweet. Then you could take over that guys market and make some money $$$
