electric suk...i bought 1 of those Mini Team Losi LST things for my gf....mate, they rave about this thing in the book, how much longer the battery lasts an stuff
man, it last like 10mins....i ran it with my mates RC Nitro, an i ran out off power jus as he ran out nitro...which dusnt sound that bad...but wen u think
he can jus refill the tank an go play again, i had to let the battery cool down, which takes atleast an hour...then let it charge again for 4-6hrs...i wasnt happy
electric...suk!

but other than that...for wat the mini LST is...its great fun...good for a gurl anyway

Same can be said about Nitro's. For drifting, Electric is better because the torque is there on demand. With nitro you have to pretty much stay in a certain RPM range, To keep the torque up, To break traction.

About the runtime situation.. Your running outta 1 pack, While your buddy waisted a certain percent of his fuel. Your battery is rechargable, And will last MUCH MUCH longer then a gallon of nitro. If you wanna be able to play all day, Consider 2-3 x 3300 - 4800 NIMH battery's, as well as a GOOD peak charger. I dont know what kinda charger you have, But i could charge 5-7 battery's, in 4-6 hours. My 3000 nimh takes aprox 45 minutes, And it's peaked. Few minutes to chill, And it's ready to run. While im running, I can have another battery on the charger, getting ready. You can get chargers that will charge 2 pack's at a time as well.

Nitro you have to tune as well. Which for me, Takes all the fun outta the game with an old worn out engine.

With elec, It's charge, plug, Play, And spray. Keeps the neighbors happy as well.

ok since nobody has figured it out yet, all you have to do is put a set of rims on your car without tires

When the abs gets worn out, how do you take it off the rim

If you didn't glue them on, they'll just slip off. Otherwise, just scour the hell out of it with a knife until it snaps.

i think i got a sucky miter box, my hack saw cut right into the miter box, i think the problem was the pipe was taller then the box, i think i might just go to homedepot and rent a compound miter elctrical saw for 30 bucks and cut up my 5 ft 2 inch ABS into a bunch of drift tires, so i wont have to deal with cutting poly pipe, not sure might try to find a taller miter box first

just asking..does putting electric tape around the rim the best way to make pvc tires snug when it is inserted? xD

I tryed that, but tape seems to difficult to push under the pvc/abs when installing the tire and never gets tight enough.

If your pvc/abs tire is a tiny bit larger then the rim, or is snug but still tends to slip off during use, try some silicone! You can dab a few globs, or paste the hole inner side of the rim and then slip your pvc tire on. Now place it face up on a piece of wax paper so the excess silicone wont stick to anything and try and free hand it straight as you can. Then I have an axle stub mounted on my drill so that now I have a generic laith to true the surface and sidewalls for balance and looks. Holding the drill is another story, lol. If you clamp the drill into a vice, use impact foam or wood and hollow out where the drill body will sit so you dont crush the drill.

I did however use vinyl tape on the outside of my rubber tires for my nitro drifter and they lasted a nice while, you need to make sure the tape end is pointing forward so the spinning action doenst rip it off in 2 seconds, lol. And my tape was as wide as the tire, bout 1 1/2" wide so it might have been special. I got it from a body shop supply store, its used for covering things that you dont want damaged if your sandblasting a window frame or whatever...

Ok here is my issue I made up some drift tires out of PVCand cannot get any traction what so ever to take off. My car will only move slow to build up speed. So I went today and bought some ABS and will make them tonight. Will this solve the problem? Or is there something else I need to do to get better traction from the stopped position. I just got the O.S. .18 and I really want to drift this baby with some decent speed

and how much did you pay for the batteries and charger? having the capability to tuning and tweaking an engine is what keep me interested in this hobby, i'd have to go and throw away money to get more performance out of the initial electric set up where as with nitro it's a simple turn on the needles with may only cost me a second or two. it seems like a better deal to me.
