I take it you have a TT-01? Your supose to identify the car buy the chassis, not the shell.
Tamiya has a upgrade for an alloy shaft.

i dont have it yet. thats what it says on towerhobbies. do you know what the stock speed is? i dont expect it to be magnificent. can you give me a link to the right shaft because i see a bunch. i found an item at tower "Tamiya Drive Shaft TT-01" heres what it says it includes.

INCLUDES: Four axles
Two outdrive joints
Two dogbones

so since it includes 2 dogbones and its 4wd does that mean i have to buy 2 of these sets?

No your looking for a Driveshaft, Center Long shaft.
You should buy it on ebay. Cheaper.

Heres what it look like on the chassis

the TT-01 goes pretty slow out the box. Probally 20-24 MPH.

The TEU-101BK ESC which is on most TT-01's will handle down to 23Turn..
I recommed the Tamiya Sports Tuned as Your First Motor Upgrade as in Drift, Speed is Not Essential, Torque and Drift Tyres are..
You can Quite Happily Slide on a Stock Silver can 27Turn all Day..

I have heard Bad things About Fireball Motors So be wary.
I recommend getting Batteries Rated no lower then 2700mah and find a Charger that will Charge Both NiCd and Nimh in a Short Period of time..
a 12 Volt Rapid Charger will do fine , Just Check the Charge Capacity and Times it will take to Charge a 3000mah Nimh
