Do you mean making the wires shorter? Well I think it's fine. I think i'm gunna order some more goodies for my body later. For sure a muffler tip and some 5 spoke rims [8D]

ORIGINAL: Represent316

Looking good. You should have eliminated as much of the wiring as you could have tho, when you installed eans.

Spending money on a TT-01 is no waste.. No matter how much you Stick into them they are a fantastic Drift chassis...

Hell I COULD have gone and bought a TB-02 to race with but no, I decided to Race a TT-01.. and I am Loving it !

With some Oil Filled Shocks alone the Handling of the TT-01 is Unreal !

I have a FT TC3 and a Colt-10 (I know Colt-10 is not high end), and have many others. I went and bought a TT-01 too.

i agree with magnat...i have probably spent the cost of my tt-01 in uprades to the car...esp with the threaded shocks i just bought...but i wouldnt have it any other way...its the same with my real car...i would rather have a honda civic with $15,000 in aftermarket parts, than a $30,000 sti i cant afford to get out of the repair shop.

Oh man.. Today was one hell of a day. Just got my replacement tub chassis and ceramic grease so I got right to it on that. I installed everything and relubed all the gears so that went well. Also fitted the GPM steering and it was perfect.. Just to let you guys know.. The gpm parts fit as well as the Tamiya parts if not even better.. [8D] OK to the bad side of the day.. I was running my car for a little bit and it starting sounding like it was stripping gears.. So I put it on the pit stand and the rear box seems perfectly fine but when I got to the front I noticed the the gears aren't contacting well.. SO then I opened the front up and to my suprise the gears were completely fine! BUT the problem was.. I'm missing two ball bearings and a (P) bushing on the drive shaft.. Don't know where it is but hopefully I can find it.. If not I will order new ones from tower.. [] Right now i'm just using plastic bushings I found from my old TL-01 chassis and it seems to be ok for now. Now the last thing.. My CO27 been acting up for a couple days so I took the whole thing apart and cleaned it and still the same. I finally came across the problem.. NEEDS NEW BRUSHES!! Oh man this isn't my day [>:] Everyday is the same though. Go to work for 8 hours and come home around 6pm. Then work on my TT-01 until midnight!! Now that's dedication. [8D]

All right.. I got the night kids R32 done thanks to Avery clear decal label and HPI 5 star deep dishes.. AND YES THE STEERING LINKAGES ARE DONE AND WORK GREAT! I also repainted my side mirrors and spolier with Tamiya TS but it's still drying. BTW sorry I didn't clean the dust off the car

Yeah. Works great as a flat surface to work on and clean up is a snap!

I think all the alloy parts are needed if running a brushless. more weight = smoother ride. I'm running a Mamba Max 4t 7700kv on my TT-01. that was my best investment [link]http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7859340829760659577&q=mamba+max&hl =en[/link]

I was thinking about getting a Novak brushless system but I don't wanna spend anymore money for that since I recently got a new ESC and motor for my TT-01. The CO27 PRO i'm running right now is all I need for drifting and I don't mind doing motor maintaince and replacing brushes. After all brushes are only like $3 each!

Nothing wrong with keeping brushed motors in there. You don't need much power for drifting.

Later I might switch mine to brushed instead of brushless. Who knows...

Very true. That's why I have decided to keep brushed I don't need a fancy $200 brushless to drift..

I work a lot with electronics - It won't be as small like the LRP or Novak you get in the store. But making my own ESC for brushed motors. When I have something I am happy with I will put a brushed motor in mine.

Until then - I am running a MTroniks Genesis Truck Brushless ESC & a Hacker C40-6S motor in mine with 7.4v 3700mAh LiPo battery pack in my TT-01.

I'm wondering about you guys running brushless, what kind of gearing (spur and pinion gear size) are you running?
