I Did a Search and yet I couldnt find a Sprint2 Owners Page So I thought I would Start one..
So Please Post Up any and All Tips and Hints you have about the Sprint/Sprint2..
The Sort of Things I am Looking for are
* A Quick Way to Change Belts
* Optimum Gearing
*Alternate Parts (EG Non HPI)
Any Set up Hints You have..
Well At the Moment For Drift I have Found the Following
1. All Camber and Toe in Set to 0 (ABS/PVC)
2. Motors Suitable Down to 17x2T on Stock gearing
I Also Want to Hear of Your Experiences..

I was about to make a post concerning this topic, but I thought I should post here then. Since you own a Sprint 2, do you happen to know if they share the same exact chassis as the Sprint 1? Hard to tell from the photos on the HPI website. I just wanted to know since I want to buy hop ups for my Sprint but all the parts they make are for the Sprint 2 now. Just wanted to know if the Sprint 2 Carbon Fiber chassis was compatible with the first Sprint.
In terms of Drifting, I got the Sprint 1 last summer of 05. I basically set the suspension with soft setting in the back and kept the front the way it was out of the box. Just from random stuff I've read on other RC forums. Also I kept the stock motor in there that came with the kit and was basically drifting right after I got it. I have yet experimented with gearing so I'll post if I ever find anything interesting.
Is the steering pretty good with the Sprint 2? The Sprint had some sloppy steering, noticed the plastic turnbuckles seemed too tight. Have yet found the time to find a fix for it.

Steering is nice and Tight on the Sprint2 .. I am Pretty sure most Sprint2 parts are compatable but not 100% sure since I dont own a Sprint
As Far as I know the layout is very similiar but with some Suspension and Chassis Strength over the Sprint

In reply to ProLifik, my friend has a sprint 1 and the steering is really bad, he wanted me to take a look at it since i was the more mechanical one out of the two, and i took the servo apart, i i found that one of the gears on the servo had stripped and fallen off, then i told him and i sold him one of my futaba high torque servo, and it's fine now. turning perfectly, so maybe you wanna try that

Drift Box isnt Needed when Drifting a Sprint2 on ABS/PVC..
Drifting is down to tdriver skill, not Fancy Devices..
I found an RS4 really hard to get good Decent Slides as it is a Nitro...
A Tamiya RZ motor and a HPI Sprint2... No Worries at all .. Short or Long Broad slides are way easily achieved and without the Nitro mess..
Wack a 10x2T in a Sprint2 and watch your Jaw Drop as it out accelerates a .15 RS4 Evo With Ease !

Hard to Say mate
A Sprint2 is Rated down to a 10 Turn motor so, a Top Speed would be limited by the Motor RPM Potential
The Sprint2 is a Race Based open frame Chassis and from my Experience Drifts and races superbly..
STOCK.. no need to mod anything just a Few minor adjustments to get the Camber to Zero on all Wheels and Bam it will race and Slide

With the LRP GT3 17x2T
as a Rough Estimate: 30kph..-35kph..
It is no snail thats for sure and is Way quicker then a Stock TT-01 or TB-02..

hey guys, glad this thread started.
I have had my S2 for about 6 months and really enjoy it. Havent done to much other then cut the back of the diff out and set the ABS pipe tires up.. Works great for drifting but am getting some drift tires to test them..

Ok took some pics today. Nothing special but here they are.
Question about bodies... I would like to get a body that sits better or the off set wheels in the back. You can see in the pic that the rear wheels sit way inside and I think it looks wrong..lol Anyways anyone have some pointers on this..

Hey guys!
I would say drift tires do wonders, I run sushi tires ( $10 on ebay for 3 sets ) very cheap and carry mad/long drifts even at low speeds!! I just got the R34 Body, doing some color change paint, will post up pics soon! Otherwise I rock a Pearl Pink 350Z
I need to change rear belt out, haven't seen any tips, long job? I was in a lot small pebble got jammed and stuch in rear diff
belt fraying but holding up..

Pull back end of Car off... Replace Belt.. re- install Back end..
Budget for around an Hour to do it..
Just be very carefull of the Small bolts located on the INSIDE of the rear diff cover they can be lost easily and a pain to re-install..
Just follow your HPI Manual for Rear belt replacement..

While your there. Cut out the rear diff cover. It has helped with mine alot. Maybe even lock up the rear diff if not done already.

Well today I was reading up on some body modds and thought I would do some with my stock body since I have a new one comming. So read up on diy muffler and thought I would find some things around the house and see what happens. Also thought a front tow hook would be a good add to it.. Anyways I had alot of fun doing and would like to know what you think...
