[X(]Ohh god iv jsut had a brain wave i know the low slung look is just too good and its hard to achiev it on rc modles because there isnt enough room to install air bags to the wishbones(i know iv tryed[8D]) so what not make the shell raise up and down so what it stops the shell hits the deck and when it pulls off it raises about 5 mill that way its practical for driving??what you think lads any ideas on how i will do it i was thinging of a long post smoothed out and iletso n the shell so it runns smooth with a r clip at the top where it would ride the highest and a extra sevro that hits the top of the shell when the accelerator is preser (make a Y harness from the reciever to the ESC and the other strand to the extra servo because that way when i accelerate it will acutivate the servo [8D] bloody hell iv only just thought about drifitin and im getting crazy thoughts like a working water cooling system with a working intercoller and fans )
thanks tom

Toyota TRD Lexus SC300 DTM

It kinda looks like a mesh up between the RX-7 (orange black) that flips in Tokyo Drift and a Lexus IS300

Its not finished, I plan on leaving the middle black and doing the sides in a dark red Semi Gloss
I have some black 5 spokes comming in for it, and it should also fix the offset a bit in the back.
Untill then Enjoy my fugly whites.

I painted the inside a dark gray to fill the windows, then Masked the outside of the windows with some masking tape.

Then

Painted the outter shell with a Chalk Board Black... Sanded... Painted... Saned... paint... You get it.. 4 layers total..

The effect came out with a Flat Jet Black with Glossy Windows to make it look more like glass.

Enjoy

This is my second attempt.
Better finish and have used a gold metallic with black backing to get top-secret colours.

s0nicstr1fe:
That is a beauty. Love it.

MarkRacerX:
Lotus FTW Love the scheme for the Lotus though!

smooth79:
Lovin that 350z. I've always liked cars with that blue/purple scheme, or purple.

I can tell that Impreza is gonna turn out good with the black backing.

You like?

I put some more touches on the Black SC300 Wide body.

No, the red letters on the hood are NOT a decal. Its painted on.

and yeah.. I know the letters translates to "love"
But its only because I do it for the love of drift, the love of cars, and the love of life.

The white CLK AMG we like to call the "Boss"

Everything is still a work in progress.

Bwhaha, I would've never thought of that.

I know Chinese, as well, I am Chinese silly! Anywho, I'm assuming you printed the decal sheet out, and cut out the slots and painted it? If you do it by hand, that's real neat.

I likey long time

What type of paint are you using on the outside of the shell? I love the flat look, but am concerned about crashes...[]...I suppose you could just resand and repaint..?

I guess I'm just lucky to have enough pavement to play around on with the lexus.
On a Track the most I see is the corners getting scuffed, but I did enough layers that I can use really fine grit sand paper and smooth them out.
I use the Mercedes more on the track.

http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=110

Try that link for the paint. Its the most durable one so far.

They also have it in green!

Now... only if I could find flat tan to go with the green I could do some camo patterns on another project.

Anyways guys, I hope to post up some new projects soon.

Maybe the moderators should make a sub forum for the RC drift bodies?

What would you think of the chalk black under the lexan, rather than on the outside, with some white strips down the middle on a Cyclone S body (Stratus) Yeah yeah, but I got it for free.
