What: RC DriftClub Drift Session 2
Where: SpeedtechRC
When: February 24th, 2007
Time: Noon to 5pm
Price: Free
Our last session was a big hit. So we come back this month with a different course layout. We will possibly also be splitting run times between radials and plastics since radials seem to have gotten popular since our last session. Lots of people speeding by the guys running yoks/ abs/ pvc. In order to get people more comfortable with them, we're gonna allow alloted times for radials only.
And again, there will be free giveaways and free food. Here's the link to pictures of our last session.

If any parts are needed, SpeedTechRC will be open. Wanna give radials a try, they are in stock and ready for purchase. Also the new RP-Ds are in stock.

Also, DriftClub personel will be on-site to help you if you're just learning. Whether it's diff setup, tire selection, or driving tips, we'll be there to get you into drift mode. We will also have an air compressor for chassis cleaning, and there are bathrooms inside the hobby shop in case you need to you know, go to the bathroom.
The Drift Sessions will be held in front of SpeedtechRC, located at 709 Brea Canyon Rd. Suite 2, Walnut, CA 91789. SpeedtechRC is a well known hobby shop in Southern California, and will be open during event hours in case you break something, or want to upgrade. The location is isolated from daily traffic, but is freeway-close to the 57 and 60 freeways, with gas and food within a block of the event. Choices include In-N-Out, McDonalds, Jack-N-the-Box, Del Taco, and more. There are also 4 gas stations: Arco, Chevron, 76, and Mobil.

Session Rules
General Equipment Requirements:
Any 1/10-scale 4WD/AWD belt or shaft-driven ELECTRIC chassis can be used. Sorry, no nitro-powered vehicles allowed at this time. All vehicles must be battery-powered.
Chassis must be “competition ready.” That means no leaking shocks, no broken arms, no cracked chassis, no duct tape, etc.
No conversions allowed (i.e. off-road chassis with sedan body).
ESCs must be correctly wired, with no potentially dangerous situations such as frayed wires, broken FETs, etc. On-board electronic driving aids are allowed during sessions (i.e. DriftBox).
All chassis running on the track must have a painted, mounted body.
Any 1/10-scale touring car tire designed and marketed for drifting are allowed. ABS/PVC allowed. UPDATE 01.12.07: Though we will allow ABS/PVC, we do not suggest E-taped tires. If you run E-taped tires, please switch to ABS/PVC or store-bought drift tires.
General Rules:
Keep your attitude and behavior on check. First and foremost, RC drifting is about fun! If you're not about having fun then you don’t belong here with us.
Profanity, obscenities, poor sportsmanship, derogatory actions, and baby-like temper tantrums are frowned upon. Any displays of inappropriate behavior will get you removed from the event at our discretion.
Event participants and spectators with or without those participants are expected to act in a relatively mature and professional manner at all times during the event.
Any of the following will serve as grounds for removal: disrespecting other event participants or spectators, use of illegal substances, attempts to destroy or hinder other people’s equipment, stealing, or anything else that is seen as negative by the event staff.
We strongly believe that good sportsmanship can get you farther in life. Also, everyone needs help at some point in time; feel free to offer your knowledge to others who are still learning what you know.
DriftClub and SpeedtechRC will not be held accountable or responsible for any personal or property damage occurring at any events. By appearing at any event, the participants acknowledge that they are there on their free will, and that they take responsibility for the safety and security of their person and their equipment / property.
We reserve the right to refuse anyone at anytime at our discretion.
Rules and specifications are subject to change without prior notice.
