I have two words
Parts availability. The TA03 chassis is discontinued as far as I know. As far as its drifting ability some say it is the king.
That is a nice looking car by the way. Looks brand new.

Parts availability is a major concern when buying a RC. When considering a car make sure you can get part support from your LHS. Sometimes you just can't wait for parts to be shipped to you.

im a massive e.bay fan, that is why i have like 20 odd cars just sitting around, i will make one very impotant point!!...
1. you get warrenty at a shop.. not e.bay!
2. electrics are not cheap, add this onto the price of the car then see how much a new one is
3. any 4wd will drift with right set-up
4. and you wont like this but...............
dont ever ever EVER buy a car that parts can not be bought freely, i have 4 cars that i cant reapir, and one i have to wait 6months for the stupid company to post them, and they only do send them when they fill a cart with stuff, wich means you could be waiting age,s..( not so much this car^^)...but the same applies, also why stress over it, yea its a nice looking car but, you can buy kits or rtr or bodys painted that make that look a little lame...
just my though but you can always go back to a shop!!!...

But surely in drifting you don't crash THAT hard, I mean the reason I'm starting drifting is you don't need large parking lots and its not at high speed so less chaces to break.

I'm selling the above nitro and plan on getting an electric for drifting purposes (purely).

this is going to sound very wiered, i have a very nice yoko, and 3 tt-01's... both at either end of the drifting market...but
the tt-01 i feel is better...due to upgrades of course but just in general...
the tt-01 he has is standard realy, but are good cars, im currently going xray t2 and maybe start nitro,, not sure but electric i prefer.

The TT01 is a good begginner (to rc) car. If you have rc experience, I'd go with something else. It's price and availability makes it a great intro level car. But, the MR4TC stock BD can drift circles around a fully hopped-up TT01. And the only real functional hop-up for the MR4TC is stage 1 (suspension upgrade). The rest are more "show than go" cuz the car really needs little. It can't really be much better than what it is. Now, the other stages do change things. Then, you get the SSG, which is a lighter chassis. And that will change the entire dynamic of your drift. Personally, I like girth in my drift so I don't really dig the SSG too much. But, I like girth in my 1:1 drift as well, hence, I'm good with a Z.
However, the YOKOMO car is not pratcal unless you live in Cali or Japan. It's expensive and most LHS's don't carry parts for it. The TT01 is pretty much found everywhere. TT01 is at one end of the spectrum and the Yok is at the other.
That being said, there are a host of nice cars in between the two.

I do have experience with RC cars... just not alot with electric or drifting. I am not will to spend that much money on the MR4TC. I have found another TT-01 (kinda wanna go with one of these becuase I have heard they are easy and there is lots of parts for them.)

This one is set up for speed though I think. What it be terribly hard to make it into a drifter?
Thanks
