That would be perfect for drifting. It's more than enough for drifting, and you can still have a ton of run bashing and racing it.

With the right tires it can definitely be run on smooth dirt. Tamiya makes rally wheels/tires that should bolt right up.

That will amke a decent drifter. The spur gear and motor mount is the weak link in the TT-01, so do be cautious not to put a motor in that has super strong brakes or too much torq. The gears will strip rather easily.

i'm still running my tt01 with the mamba max 5700. no stripped gears yet. it's a great drifter with both abs and drift rubbers. with regular tires the car is fast as hell! i have the subaru wrx sti version with alu shaft, ball bearings, adjustable upper arms, and adjustable tie rods. it's touchy at full speed but still it fun! i think you'll be happy with the 5700 mamba and the nsx.

You'll be fine with that. Whether or not it's a good drifter or not depends on the driver. So, if you suck, it will too. If you're the BEEZ KNEEZ, then it shall be that as well. The TT01 isn't the least expensive. Not neccesarily the "cheapest". Just take care of it and you'll be good.
