nitro or electric is only your choice dude they both have pros and cons ie maintaince etc
if youve run a nitro before you will know what i mean,drifting isnt so much about speed but style so pick which is better for you.
personally i hated nitro all the cleaning and tuning put me off as electrics is all about "charge and drift" [8D]
have a good read through this forum get your self a budget on what u wanna spend and let us know,lots of companies are doing drift kits now just dont go too cheap cos you will end up regreting it[
]
if you wanna try ur hand at drifting fast stick some elecy tape over your t-maxx tyres and see how you get on,it does take a while to get right but the learning curve is great one day you suck and when you nail that first proper drift sidewayz your addicted lol

i'd say electric. since there is nothing to tune, you could get yourself a team orion r watever fixed timing motor, slap it onto a tt-01, or ta-05, and get some hpi or yokomo drift tires with some nice rims.

you are more likely to blow up a nitro engine drifting due to the extreme amount of strain you rwill put on the engine with the high revs. I typically run nitro everything except my drifter.
by the way check out this forum for more people in Colorado, mainly the Denever area
