I have an old TC3 that is set up for drifting. It works great, but I need more traction on the front end. Is there a way to lock the front diff without hurting it or buying the one way diff setup? I can drift fine, but I cannot make any accurate turns, especially at higher speed. Thanks in advance.

If I over tighten, I can break the screw, correct? I have tightend it until I feel resistance, then I backed it out a 1/4 turn. It drives great now, but will this hurt the ball diff? Thanks in advance.

I also have a TC3 and I am running it with the front diff locked and the rear one with thick grease and a bit tight. Here is a link on how to lock a ball diff.

as long as its not too tight ur diff should be fine. also on the tc3/4 diffs if u over tighten the screw, the nut will break before anything gets damaged

A simple but effective way to get locked diff performance without any damage - remove the diffballs, the diff washers then have much greater friction to overcome before slipping
