I decided I am either getting a tt-01, ta02, or a tc4, not really sure yet...
but I need advice on electronics, I already have spektrum servo's and receiver's so thats not a big deal....
I am clueless on esc's, and motors, and batteries...
I want something that is going to keep the car light, give me great run time, and if im not asking too much not break my wallet...
I wouldn't mind going brushless, and possibly lipo....
I fly parkflyers.. and use brushless, lipo setups but im clueless as far as electronics in drifters...
What do you guys recommend... and if you could post some links it would be much apprecaited..

best bang for your buck will probably be a sidewinder 4600 or 5700. they can be had for about 120 on amain hobbies. i run a 4600 in my cyclone and plan on getting one for my cyclone. the motor has gobs of torque for nice long drifts and excellent wheel speed. the novak systems are also good but seem to lack the power throughout the rev band that the mambas have due to the mambas having variable timing i.e. vtec versus the locked timing of the novaks. the novaks do have better punch off the line however.

I'd say a mamba max 4000-5000kv system. I've heard alot of good things about the mambas, and i'm going to get a mamba system for my drifter when i get a chance...
AS for batteries, i just run 3000mah regular cells =-]

the 4600 is more of a torque motor where as the 5700 is more balanced speed/torque. basically the difference is how you gear it because either motor will spin the wheels.

If you just wanna drift... then Hold the expense.. its not really needed
Novak XRS ESC with a Team Orion method R 19x2T will get you sliding nicely on Poly's.. and you wont need a second mortgage to buy it all..
Not a fan of Lipo's in a drifter, too much side impact, rupture and cause damage
