RE: HPI Sprint 2 drift Setup????

All the usual discount places that I have found usually sells for only a few bucks cheaper after shipping than your local hobby store. I found a place out of China that sells prepainted ones for $8 but shipping was $14 but thats still really cheap for a painted shell.

RE: HPI Sprint 2 drift Setup????

Are there any tutorials on how to make home built NiMh rechargeable batteries or any thing like that?

If you do a search on yahoo or google on nimh battery tutorials, I'm sure you'll find something. Most likely, you'll be redirected to a youtube video on it.

Check out [link=http://www.batteryspace.com]batteryspace[/link] they have many sub C size in different MAH. You can buy them individually so you can solder them yourself....

Just wanted to let you guys know, if your looking for a cheap replacement motor that is rebuildable, look at the Venom Fireball. I got mine yesterday and it works awsome. More than enough power for drifting. It's the 15x2 and I got it on Ebay for $19 shipped.

yes Joeyhatch11 the fireballs are cheap but they are way down on power compared to Tamiya or Team Orion..

The Best motors for a reasonable price I have found have been the Tamiya TZ and the Team Orion Method R Series.. the Team Orion Method series are good, but there not tuneable like the method R's...

a Tamiya RZ motor is also good for drifting but I have found they tend to be more for high speed broad slides, then the tight and technical slides I usually go for..

I use the RZ motor in my Sprint 2 ( Yes I know its sacrilegious running a Tamiya Motor in a HPI Chassis but the formula works well ) on stock gearing and open diffs...
Its a blast to slide.. No need to spend oodles of money on a brushless system..

It was a gt-3 19t motor that i had in it and it was stock all the way...
I heard that i can oversteer with the sprint 2 drift so i wanted to be sure that is going to work properly first!!!
