OFNA Spur Gear Question
#1
I currently have an OFNA 18163 / 65T spur gear and I need to go to a lower tooth count. Info is hard to find with OFNA no longer producing.
I am seeing a lot of listings on EBAY but no tooth count it listed. Can anyone assist with a part number for a 50/55 etc with the same screw spacing as a 18163?

OFNA was a distributor not an OEM, they rebranded cars from many different OEM's where the 2 most popular brands were HoBao and HongNor, both are still in production to this day, you just need to look for your specific chassis:
https://www.hobao-usa.com/product-category/rcparts/
http://www.rc-willpower.com/Cart/ind...y&path=487_495
You might be able to cross reference your part number on one of those sites!

I will do some research and see if there are a compatible models from one of these companies.
There is fairly large hobby store a few miles from out house. I may make a drive and depending on who is working that day, I may get lucky. :-)

Didn't see any 65T gears on HoBao but found the following, does this look like your part?
G.V. Model 65T Gear #MV0651 [Mammoth] [Reely]

I don't think the AE gears will be compatible, they are for 1/10 buggy with 48P and that's not going to do very will with a 1/8 rig even if those holes line up and you can get it to fit
MOD 1 gears are significantly different and far more durable

I very much appreciate all your help and I looked at every spur gear offered on both sites, 32 and 48P. None except the ones I posted even came close to the mounting needed to replace the current gear.

nice job I have a jammin CRT that I converted ages ago using those same tires.
I stopped using it cause the tires would balloon up to where it looked like the truggy was on pizza cutters, and then it would flip due to air getting under it.

The tires do tend to "stretch" at higher speeds :-) but I really like the additional ground clearance the give when bashing through rocks and dirt-clods. And the wheel offset make it much harder to flip and 60-70 % of the time it lands right-side-up. :-)
