really, I want speed and all the more is better. My dads already suprized how well i keep up with his Revo, I want to keep up with him better.

ORIGINAL: MONSTARUSTA

LRP/neo 2 star is a great setup for speed. The LRP/Neo combo has slightly less torque but has way more top end.

You could get a lehner basic 5300 and a O.K. esc off Rcmonster and totaly smoke your dad and It would only cost like 250.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! finaly a great excuse to use my dremel, gonna cut triangle shapes out of the chassis (that way it is still relatively strong), already got duratraxx bearing in it, on the carriers, should i change the trany ones also or no? should i stiffen up the suspension at all? you know change the springs? or just add spacers? gonna relocate the batteries to underneath with a cardboard protector, i dont wanna use velcro though, any other ideas that are easy to change quickly?

Go to www.stormerhobbies.com and get a Hacker C-40 with the ESC that is suggested, you'll haul right past the Revo![>:]

Set the suspension to the outtermost (I know, it's a big word!) hole and then add an 8mm spacer to each of th springs. Stock springs and oil work fine for me.

maybe, on one end, and on the other a zip-tie to hold it better, just wrap the velcro around all the way, will have pics up when i get to that part, cutting the holes this weekend, may take off the wheelie bar to loose weight[:@] thats a double edged sword though

i have heard bigger words, will do that as well this weekend

I'm no expert, but I think circles would be just as good to cut out of the chassis as triangles. Search around for info on dremel'd Stampedes and/or Rustlers. I know others have done it. That will be useful for you to learn from them. Check out this site: [link]http://www.ultimatetraxxas.com/stampede_phase1.html[/link]

Leave the bearings in the transmission, they work fine.

if i went with the lehner 5300 motor, would the warrior 7020 be a good esc?

all of these would be around the same price. from $253.00 to $298.00

if i went brushless i would need the metel idler gear i guess $13.00
and what else? ball bearings, rpm carried for bearings and anything else?

Thats what I was going to get. Also people I've talked to say they've ran hacker motors of equal power on that esc but no promises.

Still he says he doesn't what novak. It runs hot! and is slower than a neo unless you run a 4.5r which makes it run even hotter.

I dont think im going brushless yet, I have the money I could but i need to upgrade parts for it first, i might just buy another pede or rustler to bash when the ohther is broke.

Yeah triangles are strong for structures and stuff, I'm just not sure if it makes a difference for cutting holes in a flat surface. Anyways, like I said, I'm no expert. Make sure you check out that link in my previous post.

Hey guys,

I just bought a brand new Stampede with ESC, and I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions.

First. How can I get more runtime?
I'm using a Vision Peak 2 charger, and a Pole Position 6-cell 3300mAH battery.
Also, should I be charging it on 2 or 4 amps?

Second. What are some of the first upgrades im going to need on my new 'Pede?
I've already started on a skid plate and front bash guard, and am going to buy a wheelie bar for the back. But, I need some performance enhancement.

Thanks!
