RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
ORIGINAL: crazy nick
My project is almost finished. So far I have alum. idler, wide-pede conversion (rear pede arm) w/ rpm carriers on all four, jato camber links on the rear and old school stock wheels w/ proline moabs. I still want to get four associated shocks, custom body and the mamba 5700 system. LMK what you guys think!

Awesome truck Nick. I have a question about your wide body conversion. Is this mostly for looks, handling, or both? Im sure a wider truck will roll over less frequently, but does it reduce rollovers enough to justify the upgrade for someone who just wants to improve handling?

Widening the front to make it equal the back should make it more stable and more predictable, but I'm not gonna say if its worth it. I'm really sick of going through spur gears, so if anyone knows of a cheap simple mod let me know.

You can shorten the springs and change the position to the outermost hole in the a arms. Shortening the springs would work best though.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
what are those things called at the bottom of the shocks? not the spring retainers, but the bottom of the shock shaft that goes up & down connecting to the a-arms on the pedE?

It make it hard to roll it over. I went full bore down the road and hung it right and it just spun. And ya , it looks cool too. But I did it mostly for handling.
